Downloading Puzzles
Selecting DOWNLOAD from the FILE dropdown menu
downloads the puzzles from a real file
you select on your computer
and adds them to the
sandbox.
- The file is assumed to be in your "downloads" folder and
to have a file name extension of .sstx.
It will likely be a puzzle set file previously
downloaded from some web site.
- The puzzles in the file must be in textual form.
- The first line of each puzzle must be its complete file name
(both folder and name) and so begins with
a forward slash /
- Each subsequent line of the text represents a row of the puzzle.
- The digits 0,1,2,3
in the text represent squares with those numbers in them.
- The letter w
(think -W-hitespace) represents a square with no
number in it.
- A line beginning with a #
is considered to be a comment and is ignored.
- A blank line is ignored.
- To see an example of the textual form, click the EDIT button.
- The actual name used to store a puzzle in the
sandbox
will be prefixed with a folder name you select so that
existing puzzles are not overwritten.
- Except that puzzles already in the
that folder (from a previous download ??)
would be overwritten.
